For the remainder of the course the Riverbend City multimedia materials will be utilized. The Action Research Project will focus on the Riverbend City and Second Chance Data. Majority of the data presented was quantitative. Second Chance data was shared from a three year span to consist of the following: total program participants, gender breakdown, grade level breakdown, ethnicity breakdown, and completion status. According to McNiff (2016) “ This gives you numerical data to show levels of participation, and you could produce graphs and bar charts to show different levels of participation over time.” In addition, the text also mentions that numerical data only reflects numbers and does not provide additional insights. Using quantitative data for this action research is useful because their objective is to capture numerical data of how many scholars who meet their criteria received services and completed the program by graduating from a secondary school.
